Anniversary In Venice

Coincidently our anniversary ended up to be on a weekend that we had already planned to go on trip to Venice, Italy with our friend Pat. Pat was meeting his girlfriend and her friend that were travelling Italy there that weekend so we decided to go with them. Luckily we remembered that it was our anniversary that weekend a couple weeks before and were able to celebrate it there. Not that we did anything special there but at least we had a cabin booked for ourselves at a campsite and it was better than nothing!

We were only in Venice for 2 days; we took a night train there and back to get there. Venice was really nice, pretty relaxing because there wasn't a whole lot to do there. Basically all weekend we hung out at the main part of Venice city with Pat, his girlfriend Angela and her friend Miranda. We walked around the confusing streets not knowing where to go or where we were but nonetheless survived. That was the only stressful part about the whole weekend so that was good. The canals were super cool and there were actually no real roads or any cars at all; which was different and pretty neat. We walked all around a bit and found a cool church that Pat knew about, but that's all we did for sight seeing for the weekend because we just wanted to relax more. Other than that we hung out on the steps in front of the church and in the one park area that we found with grass. In Venice all of the shops are basically the same and are everywhere. We went into many of them to find some gifts for our families and friends. It was a really low key weekend which is what we all wanted so it was nice, we had a great time.
